BMX Bikes
BMX bikes are made for doing tricks on. The standard size of a bmx has a 20" wheel.
This size is suitable for 7 years olds to adult. Many parents think that their teenage son/daughter is too big for a bmx, but they are ment to be small for doing stunts on a skate park, and they are ment to ride out of the saddle, so the seat will be low.

BMX Jargon Busting
- Cromo / Cr-mo / Chromo Frame = Cromo is a steel-alloy compound that is lighter than just steel, so it's easier to maneuver and do tricks on. Usually comes on the better quality bmx.
- 360° Gyro Brake Cables / 360° Gyro Handlebars = Means you can spin the handlebars 360 degrees over and over without pulling the brake cable out.
- Stuntpegs / Trick Nuts / Pegs = Metal Pegs about 4 inches long for doing tricks and grinding on that attach to the wheel. BMX's will either come with none, 2 on one side, or 4 all round.
- Micro-drive gearing / Small Cogs / 25-9T = This is refering to the size of the cogs the chain runs on, both front and back, the current trend is to have them small so there is less chance of catching them and damaging them while doing tricks at a skate park.
- Mag Wheels = Cool looking plastic wheels, most bmx have metal spoked wheels.
- Wethepeople / Mongoose / A word you've never heard before = Probably referring to a brand of bmx. Some kids only want a bmx of a certain brand. To see all our BMX brands, click here.
